• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Hello there, i just wanted to share a screenshot or two of my project.
This is the first time i'm doing anything related to creating scenery for P3D and i'm learning new stuff as i go along.

I really like flying in and out of Phuket in FS so VTSP was an obvious choice for me to start with, i know it's not much but i'm pretty pleased with it so far and i just wanted to share.
I'm currently trying to create the New International Terminal, let's see how that goes.

I don't claim this to be a perfect representation of VTSP but it's the best i can do for now and i really enjoy working on my little project.

Cheers Guys

Yep, that about sums it up. I know it's not that accurate, but the only reference material i have and use is google earth (street view) and photos i can find on the internet.
I'm still trying to get it done, and i just wanted to share.
This is the Cargo Terminal at VTSP, at the moment i'm playing around with substance painter for the textures and trying to recreate it as good as i can.

Have a good day guys

It definitely looks good! But you know there are two good renditions of Phuket currently available? I suppose I would be more excited if your obvious talent was used to create another South Asian airport that we do not have, such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City or Phnom Penh? Or, even a different Thai airport, such as Surat Thani.

That said, I believe that this is a passion project for you. It's your work, so of course you should model whatever makes you happy!

Wow, this looks great...new modeler or not!
Thank you Clements, i really appreciate the kind words.

I'm flattered, thank you. I'm only aware of one Phuket scenery, from A_A Sceneries, i don't know about the second one.
But, as you said, it's more of a passion project for me, i have no intentions of getting into any sorts of competition with anyone.

That said, i have my eyes on another airport in Thailand i wanna do, but let's see how this one (Phuket) comes out.

Cheers, and once again, thank you for your kind words guys.

You're very welcome. The other one is by BDOAviation. My partner is from Thailand and so I'm excited to see more Thai airports developed. Looking forward to whatever it is you have your eye on! For as far as I'm aware, We have nice renditions of Phuket and Samui, and Bangkok Suvarnabhumi should be on the way. There is an old Chaing Mai that was made compatible with P3Dv4, as well. Other sceneries do exist but they are outdated and never made compatible officially with P3Dv4 and up.

Let me know if you need any help... I could ask my partner's family to see if they can make any pictures if they happen to be close by!

I will, if you don't mind i'll let you know via PM.

Actually, the Airport i have my eyes on is Chiang Mai, i just love the architecture that seems to be present all around Thai Airports, especially the roofs, i don't know why exactly i just like it.
And thanks for the Info about BDOAviation, i've never heard of them or their VTSP Scenery, looks good indeed.

Cheers

This Project is a pretty long way from beeing finished, but i nevertheless would like to share some "progress."
It's not much for now, but as i said in a previous post, i really enjoy working on it.

Modelled interior? Airport I've been to IRL? I'm definitely following this one!

This is probably the best rendition of VTSP - that international terminal already trumps BDOAviation, and they were the best VTSP up until now!

Thank you guys, this really means a lot to me - as i said, this is the first time i'm doing anything "FS Developement" related, but comments like these really do motivate me.

I'm at loss for words to be honest, i'm very happy you like my work so far - Thank you.

And yeah, it's not much, but it took me quite some time to model and texture so i just wanted to share (not finished).
This is taken from google earth:

And this is my very very unfinished attempt to try and recreate this:

Yes, the turtle looks weird - but i honestly couldn't do it any better.

Hello there,

i just wanted to share a quick Render of my work, this project is still ongoing and going very well - i'm not done, but i think i can actually see the finish line (waaaaay in the distance but still)

There's work left to do, but seeing my own project "grow" really does put a smile on my face - and i must say, i can't wait to eventually put it in the Sim and then actually flying from/to my own airport.

I hope you guys had a good weekend,

Cheers
