• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I'm creating my own customer Ketchikan area. however i am trying to create a water airport and the planes have the correct contact points but when time comes to depart there just disappear from the dock. any ideas? this is the file i have created.

Let me know if it works for any of you as this is really frustrating been on this for hours.

AFCAD reports multiple faults :-

"MISPLACED RUNWAY LINK.
This taxi link is a 'runway' type taxi link, but it is not on a runway. Runway type taxi links are shown in black and are usually only used along the centerline of a runway. The AI avoid runway links except where there is no other normal taxi route to get where they want to go, this keeps them off runways except to takeoff and land. Having a runway link outside of a runway may affect AI movements. Also, ATC will mis-identify this segment as a runway when giving verbal taxiing instructions. You should change this to a normal taxiway link."

May or may not be causing your problem, but I'd start by aligning the RUNWAY links down the centre of the runway and see if it works.
If you need more help, please attach your Traffic BGL ... I'll assume you're using one of the default aircraft for test purposes.
 
no im using a 3rd party DHC-2 provided by FsAddon package. it works using their AF2 files but when i do my own it doesnt work.
 
IIUC, you are using AI Traffic provided by the FSAddon Ketchikan area scenery package, and they have provided an AI DHC-2 aircraft ?

If that is your working assumption, you may wish to review this assertion by Google AI:

Tongass Fiords 'may' have provided AI Traffic instructions mapped to a 3rd party DHC-2 like the Aerosoft Beaver (payware), but I forgot whether FS9 itself eventually provided a Beaver free of charge.

IIRC, Tongass Fiords had lots of AI Traffic, but there were very few freeware Beavers for FS9 that were able to be used for AI Traffic.

its an AI Aircraft i fly the aerosoft beaver (great plane). i have created the seaplane base as instructed and still planes just vanish. :(
