Hello!
Somebody knows why i get SIMCONNECT_EXCEPTION_WEATHER_INVALID_METAR in MSFS 2020 SDK SimConnect?

I try this one:
C#:
simconnect.WeatherSetObservation(0, "GLOB METAR 0000Z 13008KT 9999M SCT030 33/01 Q1005");

It looks like this function does not work at all :(

Thanks.
Victor.

According to to folks who developed Active Sky, MSFS presently does not support modification of the weather by 3rd party add-ons. They stated this in reference to the MSFS SDK, but that most likely applies to any SimConnect weather-related calls also. MSFS does not query the real time worldwide METAR database, but rather uses weather forecasts from a company called MeteoBlue.

REX Simulations just announced that they are working in a weather add-on for MSFS which does not rely on the SDK. So maybe you shouldn't give up so quickly. My guess is their approach is to hack into the sim in some fashion. I give REX points for trying but I'm betting that it will be a lot harder to do than they think.
