• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

ADE Weird Problem needs fixing ASAP

Ok I have a serious issue with ADE that just appeared today. I need to fix this ASAP! Please HELP!

I was making a few small changes on my airport, nothing major, just changing the land class in an area. I saved the airport then compiled it. But the changes don't show up in the SIM. Now I noticed that ADE has stopped reporting the "airport Compiled" message. I went in and deleted the original airport files from the sim's addon scenery folder. I tried compiling again, and now there are only two compiled files where there used to be about 4 or so. And when I try to load the airport into the sim, it's not there. ADE is no longer completely compiling the airport making it un-usable in FSX. What happened? It's been working fine, now all of a sudden ADE isn't compiling anything. Just to keep my airport intact, I went back and restored the deleted files. They work fine, but I can't make any changes to it because any changes I make don't get compiled. What the heck is going on with ADE? Is there some temp folder in ADE I need to clear out or something? Has anyone else ever had this happen? I've never seen ADE do this. It's always been a wonderful program and I've always loved it. but now it seems to have gone 'out of control'. Please help.

Can't help directly, but if you can attach your source code in a zip file it may help someone more familiar with ADE to help
 
I'll see if I can zip em' up and send them. I'm gonna try re-installing ADE first to see if something may have inadvertantly messed up the program files or something.
 
Re-Installing fixed it. Must have been some software I recently installed messing with files on my Main Drive. Works now. Thanks anyway. Oh and I also had to reset my drive permissions. Forgot that when I re-installed Win11 Pro that all of my drive settings were set to default.
