• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

weird return times

hello everyone,
I am useing Ariport design editor to make some FP's for sunwing and canjet, I have only done sunday and moday flights for canjet, but the days they return should be the same as they departed but for some reason there is one returning on Tuesday to Toronto and a monday flight returns on thursday.

I am also doing sunwing and on the flights to kitchener the plane should depart montegeo bay and arrive in kitchiner at01:25 on thursday, and should leave at 1530 the same day, yet for some reason the plane arrives on tuesday and isn't there on friday when it needs to leave.

Does anyone know whats up?

Are you making daily or weekly FPs? Also, make sure you ars compiling for the proper sim. Perhaps you could post your flightplans.text file for someone to check.

Bob

Brandon, I hope to get a chance later today to look at your FPs. In the meantime, it may also be helpful to have the companion aircraft list.

Don

not sure why but whatever
Because you asked for help and without the aircraft file you use, I can only guess.

I compiled the FP file you provided together with the aircraft file (modified to use a 737 already in my system). According to TrafficToolbox Explorer (which tracks all active AI), the flight from MKJS to CYKF was scheduled to land early AM on Friday day was also available to depart CYKF mid-afternoon the same day. So, it appears the traffic file is OK.

Perhaps you have misinterpreted the flight plan. The flight departs MKJS early Friday morning (after spending 1 1/2 days at MKJS), landing at CYKF at dawn and departs again on FRIDAY afternoon. (You mentioned "tuesday". There is no departure from CYKF on Tuesday in this flight plan file. Please note that AI Flight Planner uses FS9 day encoding, irrespective of the target sim version - day 5 is Friday.

Not on my system (which shows Friday).

Don't know what you've done. Please send me the compiled traffic file so I can see exactly what you've told your system to do.

Don

Nope. Traffic file is OK. It too shows Friday.

What version of AIFP are you using? If not 1.57, I suggest you download and try with that.

Don

I am now useing aifp V1.5(can't find V 1.57) and whenever I put in the eta of a flight I need it to be several hours before to get the right time.

eg flight 654 departs edmonton for cancun at 0600 and arrives at 1240, but if I type in 1240 it will show up as 0740, any help?

Without knowing your time zone settings and what/where you're checking, I can't tell exactly what going on. But, given the 5 hour difference between 12:40 and 07:40 at Cancun, I suspect 12:40 is UTC time and 07:40 is local time. Flight plan files always display UTC times, AIFP allows you to select what you want to use.

There were a couple of timezone problems in Vesion 1.50 that have since been fixed. The symptoms didn't sound like what you are experiencing, but who knows? I still suggest you try 1.57.

Intemediate releases, the most recent being 1.57, are available from my website. See the second-from-the-top post in this forum.

Don

And you have eastern standard selected in the time zone box and local time unchecked? If so, perhaps you've found a new "wrinkle".

Please send me a screenshot or two demonstrating the issue (or a more percise description of what you are entering/reading where and I'll investigate.

Don

Brandon, this appears to be a bug that was fixed in 1.6.07. Please try again with the latest version and let me know if it still occurs.

Don

it worked, and I like how I can make an FP for all the week days and not the weekend in one batch. LOVE IT
