What program is best just to do a lake on a photo-Tile ?

Hi everybody,

i want to design some lakes in my area in the Real Germany-Scenery.

Since my autogen-areas grow and look great there , i want to have the
nice water-reflections on the lakes. :p

So i have Richard Ludowise s great Landcalc and know the coordinates and
the bmp-files. But what program is best to handle this ?

Also - i want to do the big lakes in Bavaria - in RealGermay 3 - it is a shame
they didnt do this in the scenery

Of course i will post it as freeware for everybody who is interested.

:teacher:

Greetings from Stuttgart - Germany

Hi Enzo,

With a program like Ground2k or SBuilder you should be able to make an LWM polygon for your lakes.

But it depends on the way the photo scenery has been placed if this works. If they have been placed with resample, it is not possible to show LWM and VTP polygons on top of them. In that case changing the alpha channel of the texture is the only way to get water.

Thx one more time , Arno...

Thx Arno -

changing the Alpha-Channel seems to be the easier way
for me. I will try it out. Should work since the
Lakes in the Alps should be in the standard scenery !

If the scenery has been made with resample, any transparant part in the texture will automatically become water (no matter what is in the default scenery below it).
