• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi,

As there are so many tags to use for an exclude swith... this question and screenie: one of FS9 (as it should) and one in FSX (with the ugly parts I have to exclude). :o
Or must I use all landclass and airport exclude to be sure ?

Hi José,

It looks like the default terrain. No need to exclude it, just draw a polygon and tag it with a suitable LandClassPoly-tag, one like "LandClassPoly_Grass_Skirting_1" would be fine. It also excludes any autogen on the default land class texture.

I have a poly tagged with "LandClassPoly_Grass_Skirting_1" on my airport's area and it supposedly could avoid autogen.

Scenery Complexity = "Dense"

But when I put the rule for "Scenery Complexity" to Very Dense, one big building grows in the airport grass.

I thought it could not happen. I don't believe I can delete with 3D exclusion, since it's an autogen object, so I beg your help, please.

Hi José,

The slider "Scenery complexity" does not control the autogen. So what you have see is probably a library object and should be removed by an exclusion rectangle. Default library object are often placed with a "Very dense"-flag.

Hi, Peter

In the area there was an exclusior retangle, already, but I re-create it. Al objects from original scenery were gone, but the big building.

I must admit that the building is included somewhere into my code. I don't remember, but I put an old building there ( control tower). I will remove to test.
Pehraps is a building that vary its size depending on the display resolution.

Thank you very much. I'll let you know my findings.

Best regards,

José

Peter

Those words were the key to solve my problem.

I forgot to remove from my code two library object (buildings) that exist in the original bgl.

Thank you.

José
