• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS20 Which Works better?

was uinable to find a AIG AIM model to download. So, I can't answer your question definitively, However, as a general rule, if the models don't either conform to Flighrsin standards for aircraft, or match MSFS formating, the answer is no.

As for which works better,. "better" is in the eye of the beholder. Maybe someone else would care to jump in.

Meh, Don has it pretty spot on. It seems like you are confusing terms.

"Alpha India Group," or "AI," (go figure) specializes in providing AI traffic. Since there have been copyright issues from 3rd party AI models that have severely crippled AIG's ability to operate at all, as a distributor of AI models, they now compel users to download their own content. "AIM," or "AI Manager," appears to check potential AI models for compliance to MSFS standard, before incorporating into flight plans. I've not used it and can't confirm this observation.

"IVAO," or "International Virtual Aviation Organization," is more of a club, or meeting room, to organize virtual flights. As such, it may offer unique AI models and it is unlikely that any would be "superior," to any other, IVAO will almost certainly not duplicate what is already available from a dedicated database, individual developers may conduct themselves otherwise.

AIM AI models that have been cleared for deployment in MSFS, will also work with AIFP in MSFS. IVAO does not appear to offer MSFS specific AI.

+rk+ Everything I needed to know was encompassed in your last sentence. Thanks certainly understand the copyright issue that AIG was combating. That said, i am interested in using these only for personal use totally. Happy New Year.!
