Hi,
I've just installed this KBHM that was released in 2010. I like this airport file because it has the older terminal that was built in the early to mid 1970s and goes back to my days of flying in the 1980s at this airport. I opened this file in ADE because there are some changes I want to make that will reflect what the airport looked like in the 1980s. This file is based on what the airport looked like in 2008. Runway 6/24 is 12,000 feet but back in the 1980s, it was only 10,000 feet and designated runway 5/23. Runway 36/18 was 4,856 feet in the 1980s. Before starting anything, I happened to open the Fault Finders under Tools and it shows that the Start Location is placed on a closed runway, which is runway 36/18. This is not a closed runway and it's not selected in the Runway Markings under Properties. Here's an image:
It appears to me that all the taxi links are connected and are connected from the ramp to the runway. There was no fault found on runway 6/24. As far as I know, the only time when a runway is designated as a closed runway is when that is selected in the Properties. The Fault Finder is indicating that runway 36/18 is a closed runway when it's not. So why is it indicating that this is a closed runway? Another thing that I've noticed is that the threshold lines, the runway number 18, and the runway centerline is way off center, and the runway edge lines are not the same distance from the shoulder of the runway on both sides. Why is it off center? The apron you see at the right of the runway was moved so that it doesn't cause confusion regarding the main runway center lines.
Ken.
