• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Will Someone Make An Airplane

I was just wondering if anyone would make an airplane I drew on paper. If any of you want to I will post a bunch o pictures, stats and Sizes. Thank You in advance.

...Did I hear my name!?

Well, you can show a pic. Right now I'm a bit busy but if I find it interesting I might cook something up... Did you make the plane from head or did you have attention to details like drag and lift issues? 'Cause I can give you a few suggestions on that too. I'm no aeronautical engineer but I think I know some stuff... :D

Airplane

How do you post pictures. When I paste them nothing shows up and when I add an attachment it always fails. I need advice to get you those pictures.

You have to get a site where you can store your photos or images (like phtobucket, flickr, panoramio, anyone), and then get the link to that pictures, I had the same question about the pictures.
I have a blog and there I cans store multimedia content, and then can get the link and insert here with the "insert image function".

I personally use ImageShack. Just upload the pic and copy-paste the forum code. That's all

Ok I will try to do that tomorrow. And by the way it is nothing big, but if someone can do this one I will probably post pictures of my faster, cooler looking ideas.

Why you don't try to make one yourself, yes, I know it's hard but you could try, and I know too it's not a matter of a couple of weeks learning but it's a good challenge.

If you decide to do this project I will post the specs. Remember this is a simple trainer. If this works I will post harder aircraft.

Whilst I wish you luck in getting someone on board, I really doubt that you will.

It may be a simple aircraft - but it is anything but a simple undertaking. It will still take dozens of hours at least to produce even a 'simple' aircraft.

Amen to that and I think that aircraft already exists in real life but not sure what the name of the plane is. NOw, is there an FS-addon for that particular aircraft...I have no idea.

Aircraft

It does not exist in real life but it does look like many trainers. I tried downloading gmax to attempt it myself but gmax wont download right. I will post some pictures on that website of some of my other designs.

What do you mean with gmax doesn't download right?

Install and follow the link that appears when you first install gmax to register it:
http://www.turbosquid.com/registergmax/
Create an account in Turbosquid, it's free, you don't have to pay anything and just fill in the mandatory steps and it will show you a code that you just have to paste that on the text box in the window where the registration link appeared...

Also, I can make you correct blueprints, made to scale of your plane, but I can't make the plane itself in 3D...

Blueprints

When I click install for Gmax it just opens FRAPS. If you would make the blueprints of both airplanes that would be nice.

P.S. I am getting a new computer so I will try installing GMAX on that

When I click install for Gmax it just opens FRAPS.

This is a common problem. The gmax installer uses the same installer as FRAPS does. When you installed fraps it left the installation files and setup program in your ..\Temp folder so that when you run the Gmax install it runs the fraps installer instead of extracting the gmax setup program.

You need to delete all the files in your \temp folder. Where the temp folder is located depends on your operating system. to find your temp dierctory open a command prompt and type %temp% then enter. it will show an error then display the actual directory.
