• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.

x64 Fuel Dump Gauge

Question for Doug or anybody else that has used hisfuel dump gauge successfully in P3D.

I am unsure where the .dll is supposed to be placed in the file structure? Is it left in the folder where the L:vars are being used? Eg ./Panel/Fuel_Gauge/....xml

Or is it supposed to be in the P3D/Gauges folder?

Although the help document from the download I have from Dougs website describes how it works it suggests there is an example gauge and debug gauge within it which appears to be missing.

You can place the .dll in the panel folder of the aircraft you're playing with -or-
place it in the gauges folder. The latter may be better because it will be accessible to any aircraft.

It is a multi gauge meaning both gauges are in the same .dll
It is how it's called in the panel.cfg which determines what sub-gauge gets loaded.

// fuel dump only
gaugeXX=dsd_p3d_fuel_dump_x64!fuel_dump, 2,2,2,2 // In a VC window

// fuel dump & the debug.
gaugeXX=dsd_p3d_fuel_dump_x64!fuel_dump, 2,2,2,2 // In a VC window
gaugeXX=dsd_p3d_fuel_dump_x64!display, 10,820,515,63 // In a 2D window

Where "XX" are the next available numbers in the gauge calling sequence.

Ok I obviously misunderstood. I need the gaugeXX=dsd_p3d_fuel_dump_x64!fuel_dump, visible to call the Lvars in other gauges.

Will have another play. Thanks Spokes.
