I am new to using ADE. I can't seem to get it to save my compiled airport files. I have tried everything suggested in this thread, with no success. I have the latest ADE ver 1.05, I have the SP1a SDK. I checked "updates", it says I have all the correct versions. I get no error indicators when I check my airport file, and I do get the "airport compiled" box when I try to compile and save. I have tried saving to the desktop as well as to the FSX scenery/scenery directory.
I assume I am missing something really simple, but I am at a loss as how to proceed.
Any thoughts?
BTW, I am using FSX with SP1 and Acceleration installed. Is it possible I should remove SP1?

Yes, that is what I specified as a save location. But it doesn't show up after I save. I have tried various other save locations with the same results. It's as if it doesn't actually create a file when compiled. This is really puzzling, I appreciate your help. I am probably doing something dumb to cause this, but I have no idea what to try next. Is it possible that GrahamS is right and I need the SP2 version of the SDK?
BTW, the ADE is an excellent program, I can't imagine how much work this must be for you. We all owe you a big thanks.

I am using XP with SP2. I'll send you the .ade file by email.

Just for the heck of it I tried compiling the file directly at the cmd prompt. I have no idea if is this is a valid method or not. When I tried, I got:
Internal Compiler error: #C1003 Failed to create MSXML object 0x80004005
Also:
Internal Compiler error: #C2430 unrecoverable error parsing XML
Internal Compiler error: #C2006 Parse failed
Internal error: C2003 Failed to process file C:\(my file location & name)
Does this help in anyway to understand the problem, or is it just a waste of time?
I then installed the SDK SP2. The results were the same..identical to the problem I related on prior posts.
I hate to be a pest, so if you can't give me any further suggestions I guess I'll have to give up.
Thanks for your patience

I thought as much. Just a last desperate attempt to get the ade file compiled since the program doesn't seem to actually compile and save it for me. I guess I will just have to write it off to one of those computer mysteries that occur now and then, but damn, I sure wanted to use ADE.![]()
