• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Any way to get in contact with Jim Keir (Slartibartfast)?

Hi:

A couple of weeks ago, following the advice of rhumbaflappy, I decided to buy Jim Keir's Slartibartfast commercial version, because the free version is limited to 50k vertices per LOD8.

Sadly, after making the payment, I didn't receive any serial key. I sent an email to their website contact, but I didn't receive any response. Later, searching information about him in the forum, I found his FSX Mission Editor website. I tried to get in contact there, but I got the same result.

I know all these tools are very old, and maybe Jim doesn't support them anymore. And also, right now, in the middle of the pandemic crisis, it isn't the best moment to get in contact with anyone. For those reasons, before asking for a refund to paypal, I would like to ask if someone knows any other way to reach him.

As usual, thank for you time and stay safe.

Regards

I haven't heard from him recently.

For what it is worth, he hasn't visited this site for about 2 years it seems:

So maybe he's not active in the community anymore.

If it can help .... you can try to contact him on LinkedIn, Twitter FlightSimJim or on this site: The Hangar

Did you ever manage to reach Jim K?

I just shelled out for v2 of this Mission Editor and it isn't working... support is zero, but I knew this going in, so I should have known better.
