• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

    MSFS GIMP, Blender normal maps

Well, that is good to read, thanks! The bit depth of the greyscale map is 32 bits. So I've installed NVidia, there's quite some options. Where can I select DirectX? In the top bar it says OpenGL.

    MSFS GIMP, Blender normal maps

Hi guys, I'm gearing up for MSFS development and now I definitely need a good normal map plugin/proggie. What I'm used to is the following workflow: - Create the bump map in Gimp using greyscales. - Convert it to a FSX-able normal map using the ModelConverterX Texture Converter tool. That...

    FSXA New Blender material problems

Yes the file is from v2.79. Now I've installed the MSFS toolset, I noticed the same problem, that an existing material does not really convert to a new style material. So I guess one needs to replace the existing materials?

    FSXA New Blender material problems

Hi guys, With the release of the T.5 just behind me, I thought it would be a good idea to get up-to-date with the current FSX/P3D toolset. So, for that, I downloaded Blender 2.83 as well. I copied my T.5 source files into a new iteration and opened them in the new Blender. But, I appear to...

RELEASED: Fokker T.5 bomber for FSX/P3D

Also added a bombsight using the functionality of FS9VIEW. Unfortunately, I could not render this view on a 3D poly (as I wished to plot it at the model of the instrument), but well, guess this is enough. You could adjust its angle as well, with the knurled knob at the right hand side of the model.

RELEASED: Fokker T.5 bomber for FSX/P3D

Hi all, With beta testing nearly done, it's quite surprising no one noticed the absence of the bomb bay. Yet, I knew, so there I go: In fact this is the only good reference I have...
