• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

In order to check a photorealistic scenery I have compared the coordinates of the rwy threshold (estimated) Google Earth and P3D (by slewing). Official ARP's and more...

I tried to check my newly purchased greek photoreal scenery with help from Google map (which include a coordinate tool) and the scenery was pretty accurate (I guess I should not consider a 30 meter deviation to be a problem?). I found out that the aerodrome papers (www.ypa.gr - for Greece)...

    BGL Compatibility FS2004 - FSX - P3D?

Hello, I found an old program I made back in 2003 decompiling BGL files. Just want to ask about BGL Compatibility between FS2004, FSX and P3D? If the BGL-files are not compatible I guess I have to find information about the new BGL format in P3D. Probably lots of links on this forum or in the...

How to create a list of airport reference points

Very interesting information about how the default airports have been created many years ago! Yes you are right! I purchased a photoreal scenery covering a part of Greece + all the islands. It is (in my opinion) a very fine photoreal scenery with autogens added nicely. So I was sort of...

How to correct location of default runway ?

In my eager to study possible displacement of photoreal scenery runways in relation to default runways, I would like to know if it is possible to alter the top-down view so the runway direction is not changed to up-down direction when you zoom?

How to create a list of airport reference points

Thank you very much Holger, I will have a look. I am now pretty sure that a photoreal scenery I purchased dont have the correct latitude/longitude values compared to real world, because my little investigation until now shows that the coordinates from P3D are OK. The scenery I purchased is a...

How to correct location of default runway ?

Thank you very much David. I succeeded in moving LGKO airport so now the default p3d airpot aligns with the photoreal one. The new bgl-file do function and show my airplane placed on start at rwy 33. I placed the new bgl-file in AddonScenery/scenery and moved it to the top in p3d's Scenery...

How to correct location of default runway ?

Hello, I just purchased a photoreal scenery of Greece. Unfortunately some of the default airports are misaligned compared to the photoreal airports. I would like to correct the locations so the default rwy is placed right over the photoreal rwy. I have installed ADE. If I can find two sets of...
