• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

    Adding Legs to Approaches

Pramod, Sorry, first for the late reply...been a hectic week for me. I rarely worry about the "altitudes" of the legs unless I am dealing with a hard altitude leg like "CA", climb to altitude; "HA", Hold at Altitude; etc type leg...and almost always as they relate to the Missed Approach...

    Adding Legs to Approaches

I don't know, could be a P3D vs FSX issue...could be you have two EBOKE intersections...??? As I explained, I only have FS2004 and FSX. No installation of P3D in any form so I can't help sort that issue... Randy

    Adding Legs to Approaches

Pramod, The tutorial that discusses the different approach leg types was easier to "refind" than I thought. It's here at FSDeveloper. Here is the link to the topic by Jim Vile in 2009...

    Adding Legs to Approaches

The Approach Leg IF is for EBOKE and is where the approach starts. First TF is the leg from EBOKE to CASOB and the second TF Leg is for CASOB to RW17, then the Missed Approach Legs start. For both the DIGZY and the BASGE transitions there is only the IF at either DIGZY and/or BASGE and then...

    Adding Legs to Approaches

Pramod, I use FSX, not P3D, so there is a chance there will be differences in "default" waypoints between the two. I brought up in ADE the default KSGR, Sugarland in Houston and discovered none of the taxiways are labeled, but other than that it's a good rendition of the way the layout exists...

    CYDA Compilation Error

Thanks Jon, I certainly appreciate the reply and apologize for the trouble, but in reading your explanation I had an "Ah Hah moment". I have had compile errors before, but in almost every case that I could recall, the offending problem was always identified like an unacceptable taxisign or...

    CYDA Compilation Error

I just sent an error log of an unspecified error that failed to parse while working on this airport. Unfortunately I hit the <RETURN> key before completing an full explanation. Rather than resend the log I thought it better to explain here why you are seeing an incomplete error log...

    Adding Legs to Approaches

You have to import the stock navaids from the airport page before switching to the Approach Page. After doing so all nearby terminal waypoints (which should already appear), waypoints, NDBs, and VORs should appear and be selectable on the Approach Page. The only restriction on them will be you...

Words "Winter" and "Spring" on Texture Bitmap

Ah ha...thanks Gary. When I downloaded the SA LC from ORBX I completely missed that. In flight right now, but will uninstall upon landing and search for the alternatives. Many thanks... Randy

Words "Winter" and "Spring" on Texture Bitmap

I posted this originally over at the AVSIM Forums, but thought I might repost here as well to reach a larger group of people...This may perhaps be the wrong subforum for my question, but the others seemed too specific and excluded my visual issue These are the two images I posted at AVSIM...

KPDX for FS9 by Sidney Schwartz

I will try that Gary and Guenther and report back. Thanks for the tip. Randy EDIT: I changed the runways and key taxiways in the discussed file from "Bituminous" to "Asphalt" and the "undulation" went away, so good call Guenther. Thank you. The downside is I lost the rich, black color of...

KPDX for FS9 by Sidney Schwartz

I have been trying to help "Carob" with this issue and it was I who suggested he post here. I have the same KPDX 2010 addon scenery installed in my FS2004 and saw the same issue he described, but perhaps he did not describe it well. By "bouncing" he does not mean the aircraft wheels are...

Editing the FS Earth Tiles Image Result

Hello Gary, I do have ORBX FTX Central Rocky Mountains installed in FSX. Not sure if that is considered "Global Vector" or not. FTX CRM and the demo FTX PNW are the only two ORBX products I have installed. Randy

Editing the FS Earth Tiles Image Result

And I'm back...thanks for the video sir, as soon as I get the camper settled away I will watch it and try to apply what I have have learned. I did notice one puzzling thing upon my return. As a part of downloading and installing SBX3.15 I followed Luis' instructions and replaced (after...
