• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

    FSX Water on one level

I' d never touch the default files! You mean that you deleted the cvx____.bgl which contains the flatten of the airport you are working on? Look at the size of that file - hope you made a backup of it!?

    FSX Water on one level

Hi Holger, you can check the position and layout of the default flatten with TmfViewer (see SDK). This (green area) for example is the default flatten of LPOV. It is possible to create water on a different level as the field elevation in ADE. Just draw a separate Airport Background...

    FSX EDCJ Chemnitz-Jahnsdorf Beta

Hi Stan! Great stuff, congratulations! btw.: I think that facebook already passed its peak. Maybe it even causes a negative side effect already showing their logo on your pics/logo. Or do they pay you for that?

FSX FSX does not display changes to airport

Mikelor, if you have a traffic program installed it is always useful to doublecheck if the airport you are working on is covered by that AI software. Traffic programs naturally cover only a selection of airports. The selected airports pretty often feature a modified number of parkings. If you...

Mille grazie! That means you wouldn' t change the figure behind 'reverser_available' at all?

    FSX water options

Modifications of the waterclass in SBuilderX affect selected cells. If we are lucky, these cells would only change the water color of the ponds but it is very likely that the water color of the ocean will be affected too. There are too possibilities: testing or taking a look at the area in...

    FSX water options

SBuilderX is the only tool I know which enables you to change the default waterclass (look of the water). Let me know if I can help you.

    FSXA Reverse thrust

Hallo SierraB! Thanks for your help. Now I hope to get some input from an expert who knows about the power ratio of reverse thrust.

FSXA ฺBangkok Airports from A_A Sceneries

Hi Tic, sorry for hi-jacking your thread for the TWR-view issue. But as you can see, such a question unveils under cover fans of your work :) ! @ Malc. Did you spot the corresponding commands in your settings menu? You need a stick with programmable buttons and a hat switch of course!

    FSXA Reverse thrust

Is there a real life pilot or any other expert who can answer my question? All my FSX aircraft (both, default and add on) which are reverser equipped simply show 'reverser_available= 1' in the aircraft.cfg. The SDK however clearly states that 'A value of 1.0 will cause the theoretical normal...

FSXA ฺBangkok Airports from A_A Sceneries

It is pretty simple. Just follow the illustrated steps (see below) and you will have your viewing platform. Unfortunately I bought the German version but I' m sure you will understand anyhow. At some airports the tower view is lower than it should be but you can easily adjust that with ADE...

    FSXA ADE Newbie Problems

One more thing: If you want to see a straight dashed line along your taxiway simply draw a 'Closed Link' (see red line in the first screenshot, suggested width 5m) and select 'Dashed' either for the left or the right edge.

    FSXA ADE Newbie Problems

Hi and welcome from me too. As I can see from your screenshot you chose 'Dashed' for the right edge of the taxiway along the apron. Please be aware that this leads to visually pretty unrealistic results: Look at my screenshot. FSX unfortunately doesn' t just draw a straight dashed...
