Adding new texture names in MCX material templates

I might be just missing this, and if so I apologize. Is it possible to somehow use wildcards to add a new texture to a material template? I'm using Blender to create my objects, but the end target is objects with PBR materials. I've created a material template in MCX that enables PBR and sets all the values as I need them, but I also need to add entries for the metallic texture. The texture will use the same naming as the diffuse texture, but with an extension of "_metallic.dds" instead of "_diffuse.dds". I can do it manually, but it would be amazing if there was a way to just add this to my template.

In Options/ObjectModel Settings there is an entry called MetallicTextureSuffix. Mine is set to C. You can change that to metallic, but I don't know how MCX uses that?

I agree it would be nice to be able to use something like Add Night Texture and have MCX add the _L suffixed name automatically.

There should be an template for the PBR ones, like for night. If not I should add it :)

Hi,

You should see the "Set metallic texture" template in the material editor as well. That does just what you want. The suffix it uses comes from the options Tom pointed to.
