• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

ADE 1.77.6986 Development Build

Don. No it isn't. Arno made a change to one of his libraries so I updated them all and used them in 1.77 ADE was also changed to account for P3Dv4.4 mdl files which have a different mdlType PV44. The absence of that in the ADE code caused an error very similar to the one shown above. He may have made some other changes at the same time which didn't affect ADE but might affect your code.

LM is starting to make life difficult. ADE-GP doesn't "know" about PV44. I'll get you an update ASAP.

Are you aware of any other changes in the PV4.4 .mdl format. If so, could you PM or e-mail them to me so that we don't clutter your forum.

I experience the flwg 2 problems:

1 Zooming with mouse will move the project out of center, out of the screen.
2 Exclusion Rectangles cannot be drawn anymore. Always an error message is generated telling me "Extrusion Rectangles need to be drawn from top left to bottom right. Please draw again". I am always doing it this correct way!

Windows 10 Prof, P3dv4.4

Mouse zooming has always zoomed centered on the mouse position which may not be at the center of the display. I cannot replicate the problem with drawing exclusion rectangles - they work fine for me drawn top left to bottom right - they don't draw in any other configuration and I get that error message.

Hi Jon
Thanks for your comments!
When I open a project it is centered, I assume. Zooming out (from the center of the project or anywhere else on the screen) will move the project diagonally to the upper left corner, zooming in to the lower right corner. Nothing I can do against that.
I just get this Exclusion Rectangle message, sometimes the drawn rectangle gets a yellow filled small additional rectangle at the bottom, but after closing the error message, all is disappearing.
Made a new install, problem is still there.
All former ADE versions for FSXA were working great...

I concure with Jon.
Zooming and exclusions are working fine.
Could it be your mouse settings (windows settings)?

Ernst - please tell me the actual version number of ADE you are using from the titlebar: For example:

Just a reminder to those who may be having difficulty compiling ADE-GPs with P3Dv4.4 using the beta version of ADE. Until Jon and I get this sorted out, select the GP compile option "Generate FS-8 Style GPs".
