• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi all! Thanks for sharing this tool.
I have MSFS from steam and don't know what to select in the folder paths. Someone could help, please?

Did you read the notes about setting paths?

What kind of feedback do you want from Alpha users? You probably have planned for a successive roll out of features both from earlier versions of ADE and new features that apply to MSFS2020 only. Do you want a wishlist for features or just reaction to what don't work currently?

For the moment I need feedback on functions that are present in ADE 2020. Those are the things listed in the Alpha Notes pdf. You are right there is a list of functionality which I think needs to be in the program and that I will implement alpha by alpha. I am happy to receive things for the wishlist but I can't say when or if they will get done.

Hey Jon, I'm presently testing ADE 20 and great work man! It works pretty good.

Little bug: When I created a project from stock airport - it worked. I saved the project. I did the next trial with another airport without closing anything. It just processed something but showed me still the airport that I did first. I closed ADE down and tried the second airport again and it worked for the second one as it does for the first. So before Creating a new project, it should check if there is still one opened and close it in this case. I'll let you know if I find any errors if this helps u. Regards Guido

Thanks for the feedback. I am aware of that issue in earlier alphas but from alpha 12 ADE closes the open project before starting a new one. So if it is still doing it then the bug remains

Decided to play with this tool this morning. I have a project I created in ADE X -- thanks for that :) -- some years ago and thought I'd see if I could get it into this version. Don't know if this tool is fully ready for the older .ad4 files, but I tried anyway. This was the result:
ADE encountered a problem loading this file...

Also, trying to create that same airport from stock, this is what I got:
System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not find file 'P:\Windows\Utility\MSFS\2020\ADE\F20\xml\work.xml'.
File name: 'P:\Windows\Utility\MSFS\2020\ADE\F20\xml\work.xml'
Checking that path, file definitely does not exist.

Clues appreciated...

First please ensure that you are using the latest alpha version 16

I used the version linked above, which says it's a12 if I'm reading it correctly. Checking the "about" on the application, I see "20.12.7669.15072" and am reading the .12. to mean alpha 12. Where do I find 16?
