• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

High guys. sort of frustrated after installing ade alpha 21 & hotfixes 4 & 5.
Followed all the indicated procedures to fix alpha 21 with both hotfixes. created a new content folder to whre stock airports are saved ......... official\one store\fs-basegeneric airports\scenery & and I keep getting Base file not found
Appreciate if someone has ideas to solve this
regards
Manuel

this is a copy of the Content path: C:\Users\Manuel Higueras\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Official\OneStore\fs-base-genericairports
As you can see there are no spaces & although this I keep getting the same error Base file not found.Check content

If possible, go to ADE's Settings | Options menu and select the Folders tab in the popup, and save a screenshot. Attach the saved screenshot to a post.

Started from scratch, re installed ade alpha 21 & hotfixes 4 & 5, and now I am able to load stock airports. What happend this time? guess Il'l never know.
thanks guys for your concern.
I am now strugling to move the saved edited airports from ade21\F20 to MSFS2020 Community Folder with no luck till now, doing this manually just by copy & pasting the saved folder. MSFS2020 does not recognize the edited airport.
any ideas, welcomed
rgds.

As per my previous post :"Started from scratch, re installed ade alpha 21 & hotfixes 4 & 5, and now I am able to load stock airports. What happend this time? guess Il'l never know." However and having tried to open one of my saved airports saved in store airports came back to ADA and again the Base file not found poped up. So it seems that something is going back and forth creating the error.
And the saved in store airport using ADA ALPHA21 Proyect properties feature was not taken by MSFS2020, although it is correctly located in the store folder.
tell you guys it's driving me nuts

I would not save anything to the store folder. I use a folder D:\ADE_F20_Projects All my projects go there. I then have to copy the actual compiled project to my Community folder to activate it. or I can use DevMode in the sim to load the project.

hello, good morning
I also use ADE_F20_proyects to save new proyects, it is in fact the default location where ADE21 does this. Then to move it from ADE_F20_proyects to the Community Folder please clarify the following:
1-Do you copy & paste to the community folder all of the saved proyect or only part of it
2-Where is the location of the DevMode to do the same procedure?
3-Once in the community folder MSFS2020 will automatically replace the stock folder with the new one, correct
Need this to clarify if what I am doing is also correct: once the proyect is being saved, I open Project properties and click visible in store and the new project appears in Official\One Store, but MSFS2020 does not show it?
Regards

Your compiled package is a folder inside the Packages folder. The compiled package (which is a folder) would be copied would be copied to community. In the ADE project's folder, there is the project XML. That would be loaded into the DevMode if you want to further edit it there. This XML can also be drag=n=dropped onto the fspackagetool to compile the package outside of the DevMode.

Therefore my current content path is wrong: E:\WpSystem\S-1-5-21-3808941437-2407724205-3957658379-1001\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Official\OneStore\fs-base-genericairports\scenery which is the path recommended after installing ade21 hot fixes 4 & 5 & should read : E:\WpSystem\S-1-5-21-3808941437-2407724205-3957658379-1001\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\COMMUNITY?
Appreciate your reply
Thanks

Content C:\MSFS SDK
SDK C:\ MSFS SDK
and it does not work so therefore I must have miss undertood you
Can you please be patient with me and tell me what have I done wrong
regards

Corrected Content to read:
D:\MSFS2020\Microsoft Flight Simulator
And still does respond

Corrected Content to read:
D:\MSFS2020\Microsoft Flight Simulator
And still does respond
Then to Content: D:\MSFS2020..........inside this folder I have MSFS & MSFS Digital Owner
no result Base File not found keeps popin up

Finally & thanks to your help I managed to solve the issue. Entered Setings.ini & found that the path had been duplicated, corrected it and stock airport poped up
the path that I am using for Content is: OneStore\fs-base-genericairports
I am now trying to place the edited airport in the correct folder so thar MSFS recognizes it. Question is do I just copy & paste the saved folder & where should I save it, to the Community Folder?

The project needs to be compiled. After compilation, there should be a "Packages" folder. Inside that folder will be another folder that Is the actual package. Copy that folder to Community, and it will show in the sim, after the sim is restarted.
