• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

ADE Display Size Error

I am starting a new thread for this problem.

The problem is that for display resolution settings below 1600 the right side of the ADE display is cut off. This is being reported in the current latest update but has been present in some way for a long time. The reason is that the ADE display contains a lot of buttons and other tools which require space.

My display is 1920 wide and by fiddling with the mainform display size I can get a full ADE display at 1440. The display is also affected by Scale And Layout

Setting the size for text, apps and other items to something other than 100% (e.g. 125%) will also have the effect of losing the right side of the display. I understand that this text size increase is a big help for those with reduced eye sight. I myself used it prior to cataract operations.

I can't tell if something has changed in Windows 10 updates but older versions of ADE that I have here (from 160 up) also display the problem if I reduce my display resolution.

Can those of you seeing the problem confirm that your earlier version of ADE worked without loss of items?

I need to decide what to do. It may end up with a redesign of the main window which is not trivial.
 
Somehow i find on my pc one older ADE version - 1.75.6400. With this version there are no display loss on the right side of ADE window.

Now with ADE version 1.76.6709 airport and approach windows looks correct. There are no window right side display loss. Thanks Jon.
 
OK - thanks for checking - hopefully my 'bodge' will work for others with the same problem :)
 
My screen res - 1440x900.

Just applied above patch and working screens back to "pre manual Update" patch. Not had time to check for any other discrepancies though.

My 1280 x 1024 screen is now back to usual display, ADE window displaying without any missing part!

Thanks for the update file, I will try soon. Although resolution is mentioned as the possible cause of the problem, I have one pc - win 10 - res 1240 x 1024, which shows no problem and a Win 7 pc which has the same screenresolution, which does show the problem. Just to inform you.
 
Tried the new version in this thread. Unpacking with Windows 7 default extractor, gives errors (see screenshot witg three screens.
Unpacking with 7Zip went well.
Placed the exe in the ADE directory and started as administrator. Result is an error. See screenshot 2.

Hi Jon, Thanks for the link to Ramasr solution for the ProKey problem. Version 1.76.6709 works okay now, screenproblem is solved with this update.
Just purchased the ProKey, by the way. The function of moving airport is very practical.
