• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

ADE dont compile Files

The ADE dont compile my desinfed Airport. The first Changes works fine in the FSX. I did some Buildings an a Taxiway to the Airport. But now i delete some Buildings and a new Tower and the ADE wont compile it.
I dont understand why-before ADE works- i can see the Result in the FSX ( so the Directory to BGLComp Folder and Shp2Vec Folder must be correct). And now i get such Problems. I delete the ADE and install new, but nothing change.

What do you mean by ADE won't compile it? Are you getting a compiler error? Or do you mean you removed the buildings in ADE but after you compile then the buildings are still there? If it is the last one of these then you must look to see that you do not have more than one bgl file for your airport. If the one you compiled with the buildings is still present (has a different name for example) then it may be loading after your new bgl file and so the buildings will remain. Also thank you for the screenshots but can you please upload your ADE project file so that we can check it?
 
No-i dont get a Compiling Failure Message. I mean i compile it, put the File (renamed) in the FSX. After starting the FSX i can see nothing has changed. If i open the Airport. bgl in the ADE i can see also nothing changed. In the Scenery Folder you can see only one File for the Airport (APX51130.bgl), the ADE Project File is correct (EDAC_ADEX_FSX Studios)

I don't think FSX will recognize bgl files with spaces in the name so I do not think EDAC_ADEX_FSX Studios.bgl will be loaded at all. Remove the space in the file name and replace it with an underbar and then try again
 
Spaces in filenames is not a problem, it is necessary only to have a "bgl" extension.

Upload the ad4 file so that we can investigate.

There is something wrong with the ADE display, it isn't drawing the taxi-links with the correct width:



However, there are duplicate items such as fuel triggers and windsocks, and four NDB objects :yikes:

 
Hmm, could it be the default width for new taxiways? Mine is 3 M yours is 95 ft.

i think (?) if the Parking has not correct Link to the Taxiways or if i changed the Wide of Taxiways thats not the Reason why the ADE not compile the File. Maybe the FSX has an Error. . . I did change only the Wide of Taxiways, put 3 Buildings in and one Parking (cancel the Fuel Trigger and set a Parking Gate.

yes thats right, my ADE compiles without problem when no parking spots are connected to a taxilink.
