• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Good afternoon
my name is Andrea, I have an ADE 1.70 problem. My OS is Win7 32 bit sp1 ,my Flight Simulator is fs9.1 and finally my Fsuipc is 3.90 . The airport search is ok, but when open the airport, ADE is freeze (not run). Something wrong ? Can someone give me an idea ?

It is probably not freezing, but instead is taking a long time to generate object footprints for the airport. Just let it sit there and it will eventually load. You can prevent this by downloading and installing the Footprint file from Jon's site.
 
Thank you for your reply, I downloaded footprint model (148 MB zip),but I don't know install folder. Where I find it ?

Well, if you read the PDF file inside the zip it says:

"To install this database First make sure that ADE is not running. Then please save the file MFDB.dbs into the Global
Folder inside the ADE 1.70 Installation folder. If this file already exists then please over write it."

I have applied (apply) your suggestions,but I have not found the PDF file inside the zip. I wrong somethings ?
Excuse me ,but I discovery (discoveried) this two very interesting software : ADE and Afcad by Lee Swordy only few week ago.
Can you give me an afcad help link, or simple tutorial-manual ?
In your old (vintage) airplanes web site there is't nothing afcad issue.

For some odd reason, the PDF file has been removed. Just follow my instructions above and you should be fine.

If you find a good AFCAD download it includes a manual, which is very complete. But some downloads do not include the manual.
