• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I have been using the GP Editor in Airport Design Editor to add additional markings to some of my airfields, but there is one that appears to be missing from the database. This is the taxiway shoulder marking (the one that is basically a double yellow line with short, closely spaced yellow lines on the outside, and perpendicular to the double yellow line). Is there a specific texture that I can download that can be used for this purpose? I do not see anything obvious in the ADE GP database....

EDIT: Sorry, I forgot to say that I am using P3Dv4.5HF2

We would all prefer that, but sometimes you just have to... :)

It's not clear why I am not getting any notifications for this thread and my replies are not being posted. (I've replied twice already.)

One more try: Texture gp_TwyShoulders is intended to do what you want. Have a look aat it.

I assume you mean the vertical yellow lines spaced either 15m or 30m apart? They are not even visible on my PC, and even if they were, they would be spaced too far apart for the markings that I want to use. The link below shows the double yellow line with closely spaced perpendicular yellow lines that I want to see. Those small lines are only about a metre apart.....

For the record, it would also be nice to have those RUNWAY AHEAD (and various "white numbers on a red background") textures.

Me thinks you need a new measuring stick. The runway is likely at least 200' width. There are 12-13 line intervals along the runway in a distance of the runway width making them probably about 5 m. intervals.

But you can get creative. While the texture is labelled as 100' (30m) intervals, you can make that number anything you like - like 5m. Those numbers simply tell ADE-GP the notional geographic span if the texture. The distance varies from airport to airport.

As for the missing textures, it would seem you missed my post of last week announcing that "some textures had fallen out of a recent post of ADE_GP" (which got carried over in ADE) and recommending used download the latest release (in which the missing textures have been destroyed.
