• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hello, i was wondering how some developers are able to make ctrl J jetways with ADE, meanwhile when i make it , it didnt show up and ive follow every tutorial, manual, also threads and solutions for this problem but i still couldnt make it. or maybe i must install older version of ADE? because i saw old sceneries are able to use ctrl J command. thanks

Second question, how can we custom our CTRL J jetways other then changing texture in global? Example is Flytampa TNCM is able to use ctrl J with their own detailed jwy...Thx!!! :)

The most common reason why Jetways, added with ADE, do not show up in FSX is that, in ADE they seem to get added with the Scenery Density set to "Extremely Dense" which means that, unless in FSX you have the Scenery Density settings set to MAX, you won't see them. In ADE, after adding the Jetways, edit them and reduce the Scenery Density to 'Dense' or 'Normal' or whatever.

Ive tried either setting the jetway's density to normal and put fsx's settings to extreme dense still not working

Are you saying when you add the default Jetway in ADE they do not show up?

You should:

1. Left click an existing parking spot. It should turn orange.
2. Right click and click Add...
3. Choose Jetway.
4. A box comes up, choose Normal image complexity.
5. Click OK
6. Drag it into position.

Hope this helps,

So -- I have followed these instructions to the letter with all of the 20 or so airports I've edited so far and jetways have worked perfectly. Now I am having this same issue -- with CalClassics KATL editing for FSX in ADE, I add jetways at DENSE with airport set to EXTREMELY DENSE, and none of the FSX jetways are appearing in the sim. Are there any other variables at play here? I have not changed any of the FSX game scenery settings -- they are the same that allow jetways to function at all my other airports.
