• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

AGN Merge Tool error

Hi Albert,

I've tested with the file you send to me. First, the problem was that your files were named like this xxxxxxxxxxxan0.agn instead of xxxxxxxxxxxan.agn. Second, at that time my tool not support the last version of Arno's tool.

it's corrected now - > see here for a new version with all included and last Arno's Tools support.

it seems the problem is gone with the new version 2.13b.
I can now get used to the tool and I'm happy to do a german language file.

well... it's a good news :) I hope it will work fine now...

if you edit .lng file be carrefull to not add line break (it's better to use an advanced editor like notepad++). thx Carsten
 
No switch option in the tool.... At start when loading, the tool just search for a .lng file in "work" folder...
 
Hi Vogel.

Before I close for today, there is one bug (maybe) I found.
When klicking Merge, I get a File not Found error fo a file wich is supposed to be in the "Merge" folder.
The Merge folder however ist empty before the merge.

I'll come back tomorrow.

Yes, I have and the first folder is created in "Merge", but empty.
Seems like the tool looks in "Merge" instead of "Groupes_Dalles" for the source file ;)

ok, have you the .txt file of the checked file in the list into "work\merge\txt\" folder ? if yes can you post his name and contain here please ? thx
 
Thx Carsten, after a quick view i find strange coord in the last Line AGNobjlibrary... The 2 last coord are writen 6.71890156809241E-05. I don't know if Txt2agn support it ? But it should cause the txt file come from txt2AGN... I will look at it better later

yes, saw the last line too. Maybe Arno can enlighten us, because the AGN files were generated by scenProc.
But the Error is a "File not Found" Error.

Oh, and I got the same error on shorter path too.

Hi,

The scientific notation for the position should not be a problem. On import of the txt file it is converted to a number again.

Since the error comes from my library, I'll have a look as well.
 
Hi,

I tried the AGN file with my agntools that use the same library to parse them and I get no error.

But I don't remember when I gave the files to Vogel, it might be he uses an older version of the files and that I fixed a bug in between.

Thanks for your investigations. I hope that Vogel sees this posting and checks things himself, on the assumption that a bug may be present.

Please will you liase with Vogel to try to resolve the problem I have got, lest there be a bug which needs fixing.
