• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Could it be because P3Dv4 is a 64 bit application? Maybe AIFP can't interface with it.

Also, do you have FSUIPC V5 installed in your P3D? It doesn't SAY that it requires it, but heck, it can't hurt...

Is the registry entry for P3D correct? IE: did you uninstall/reinstall P3D someplace else, and didn't update the registry entry?

Just trying to think of any reason why
My money is on the whole 64 bit thing, though. I'm probably wrong though...

Thanks for the reply Pat.AIFP is now supposed to be p3dv4 compliant now which also means 64 bit compliant.I believe i have the most current Fsuipc v5 now as well.I did contact Don and he told me that AIFP should recognize it unless there is a previous install of fsx that wasn't completely removed. Think that may be it but it's so frustrating.Guess I'll have to get rid of everything and start again from scratch.I want to put in my own flight plans for my own designed airports.Seems this is the only way i might be able to.Then again i may not be able to.Will have to see..

You could try to repair the registry if there is a P3D registry fix program out there. Make a backup of your registry first.

There is a thread about where the entries for the various simulators, FSX, P3Dv3, P3Dv4, etc, are located in the registry. And what they should be for each one.
You could check and see if they have anything that shouldn't be there, or is missing anything that should be there, if you know how to enter and edit registry files.
It may be found here: https://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/threads/registry-keys-fsx-fsx-se-p3dv1-p3dv2.432633/

If it IS a registry problem, it may be this thread can help, maybe.
I know there is a registry repair program out for FSX, but I am not sure about P3D.

Hope this helps a little...
Pat☺
