• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I know I have duplicate AFD files for EGNX, but Airport Scanner doesn't find them:

AFX does:

Log file:

Code:

13:20:01 ======     BEG MainForm.Constructor =====

13:21:20 ======             END Util.Read Scenery Areas 0.03s =====
13:21:24 ======             BEG MainForm.Physical Scan =====
13:22:27:INFO_:                 Execute MainForm.Logical Scan
13:22:27 ======             END MainForm.Physical Scan 62.861s =====

I think it may be something to do with path names. I inhibited the relevant areas:

S:\UK2000 East Midlands Xtreme\scenery
S:\UK2000 VFR Scenery Volume2\scenery

And copied the files to:

Q:\TEMP1\Scenery
Q:\TEMP2\Scenery

and Airport scanner found them as duplicates.

In fact it is even more peculiar, if I activate all four areas, it finds all but the one in S:\UK2000 East Midlands Xtreme\scenery :confused:

Well I can't understand it.

I copied the whole directory tree which contains the AFD that it cannot see to another drive and it sees it there :confused:

I give up.

I agree.

There is a guy on the UK2000 forum with exactly this problem and Airport Scanner doesn't find a duplicate but FSX shows two sets of tunway markings in top-down view.

I am still intigued that AFX does find duplicates on my system
