• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Is the type of building (the brownish colored terminal) represented in the attached thumbnail available for selection within ADE? If they are, I can't seem to find them! Thanks,

Steve in Kansas

Yes they should be. There will be an OBX file (or perhaps more than one) in the same scenery folder as the stock airport. If this file is loaded into the Library Object Manager then those objects should be listed when adding library objects.

How to Load

Thanks for the reply...If I find the OBX file, how do I load it into the Objects Manager? Sorry to be so numb...Thanks...

Details of how to do this are in the Release Notes documents.

But it is quite easy.
  1. Tools > Library Object Manager
  2. In Library Object Manager Select Tools. There is only one menu item in there
  3. Select it and use the open file dialog to open the OBX file you want
  4. After a few moments you will get a dialog telling you how many new objects are found
  5. Click OK and they will be added
  6. Find the OBX file in the list of libraries and that should show all the objects in that library
  7. If you have the Big Thumbnail pack installed and active you should get thumbnail pictures for them
  8. Remember to SAVE when closing Library Object Manager
  9. In ADE Right Click > Add > Library Object and you should find the library and objects to place

Be aware that these object may not show up in FSX if used in an area away from the airport they belong to. Some may be geo-locked so you need to test.
