• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Autogen Configuration Merger Error

Hi Arno,

Tried installing your ACM.exe seems to be loaded by exe.xml ok, after installing to P3Dv3.

I was trying to get it to merge some autogen definitions with the outdated earth simulations ones. The ES ones are placed in a folder as per the manual, and the log shows that it is accessing them. It stops with an error mid-way through the ES default.xml (as per end of log file - attached)

Any ideas please as to what the problem is? I don't understand really what the error notification is trying to tell me sorry!

I haven't tried manually limiting the ES files to their own definitions (time doesn't permit right now) so I ran this knowing that the duplicate entries somewhere might cause a problem.

Update: removed default.xml from the mix and everything else merged as expected - good results thanks! Just like to understand what it doesn't like about default.xml now, if you could help enlighten me? :) Cheers K

Sounds like something unexpected in the xml file. Could you send me the file for testing?

I should spend some more time on this tool and get it out of beta phase soon :)

Thx for the update. Will start reading the User's Manual today. For me, the big test (like I am sure many others), is how this will work with ORBX sceneries.
