• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

In this thread I will post updates about fixes that are released for the Autogen Configuration Merger tool. I highly recommend that all developers that use this tool as part of their scenery subscribe to this thread, so that you are notified if I released fixes.

The first official released version is 1.0.6206.30341. If you are using an older version, please update to this version. Any older version (1.0.0.*) was a beta or release candidate. In these version there are some bugs left in the installer mode, that can give issues if you install in different FS versions. Also some versions had a incorrect version number, which can result in a newer version not overwriting an older.
 
Version 1.1.6531.37127 has just been released. The two biggest changes are that it supports Prepar3D v4 and that addon sceneries added using an add-on.xml file are now also supported.
 
Version 1.2.6949.36366 has just been released. The changes include:
  • Fix bug with objects not working due to being inserted at the wrong location in the configuration file.
  • Fix bug that entries in the scenery.cfg file that included the \scenery folder in their path were not processed correctly.
  • Backup files of the autogen configurations are now kept per FS version.
  • Added command line option to set the installation path from the addon installer.
 
Version 1.3.7202.37067 has just been released. The changes are:
  • The active state of a scenery in the scenery.cfg or add-ons.cfg file is taken into account when processing the scenery
  • The examples of custom autogen description files have been expanded in the manual.
 
Version 1.4.7414.22076 has just been released. The changes are:
  • Added support for P3D v5
  • Read add-ons.cfg from both the ProgramData and User folder
  • Fixed bug where add-ons.cfg reading was case sensitive
  • When custom autogen is loaded via add-on.xml file already, ACM skips it
 
In the last 6 years there have been no new releases of Autogen Configuration Merger, therefore I have decided now to stop actively developing this tool. The last version will remain available of course.
