• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I am new to ADE and I cannot figure out how to install the Big Thumbnail Pack into ADE so that my library interface can see and use it. Can anyone help?

Thanks

The Big Thumbnail Pack. Under the downloads. And I have ADE 179 I think and I'm working with P3D V4.5
IS there more than one thumbnail pack. I placed the whole folder in ADE directory. ADE doesn't detect it.
Correction. 178. The latest.
And I did download THE FSX/P3D pack.
If it helps, I'm an aging Boomer (58) with no formal computer education. Just trial and error self taught and only a year on Win 10 after a 15 year absence from simming FS9 on xp.

Tools > Library Object Manager and check that you have set the path to the thumbnail folder correctly

You need the FSX thumbnail pack

You can put it where you like so long as the path to where you put it is correctly set. The packs are old and chances are there will be a lot of P3D without thumbnails

Okay. I think I will rerun the ADE installation exe and then unzip the thumb pack to the MSFS folder but not the ADE folder and see how that goes. I already modified one local airport that FSX/P3D didn't even have the corrugated hangers or single taxiway included. Just the runway. 74N Bendigo Airport in Tower City, PA. Google it. It is a neat little country airstrip. (Also get results for the bigger Bendigo in AU to). No time for flights that far. I fly wherever in the Northeast U.S. that I can do in one or two hours a week. Too busy you know. Thanks

On more question. Which runway lighting is the simplest? Best for radio controlled small airport type?
I installed lighting at 74N that makes the runway look like an international. In real life the locals would complain 😉😉😉
