    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.

MSFS Blender: Does it export .tif files? (SOLVED)

Hi guys, is blender able to export .tif files? because my .tif files export as .png when I export any gltf model.

Please let me know.
Thank you.

Google's AI tells me this:
"Blender's glTF exporter requires image textures to be in PNG or JPEG format. However, the add-on will automatically convert other formats, such as TIFF, to PNG or JPEG, which can increase export time."

The blender exporter will change your tif files to png. That is because the gltf standard is png or jpeg. However ..... a new enhancement request based on my question to Khronos.

BTW this is even with the legacy Vitus exporter.

Gotcha you all. I'm just at the moment converting the file name from png to tif via the gltf. But its more secure and errorless if its part of the blender- export option in the future. Thank you guys.
