• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I assume you have loaded the airport from the stock list of airports? Then in the main screen set the Scenery Complexity (in the menu bar after settings) to EXTREMELY_DENSE. This should make all the buildings visible. The buildings you show look like generic buildings so they will show up on the ADE Main display as blue rectangles. If you are not sure that you are looking at the correct ones then connect ADE to FSX. In FSX go into slew mode and move your aircraft to the buildings and you will see where this is by the aircraft shape in ADE. If you find these are generic buildings then all you need to do is delete them in ADE and they should be gone from FSX as well.

in the editor when its connected to fsx i dont see any extra buildings showing the only one that ever was showing was the tower

Did you load the airport from the Stock? File > Open Stock Airport and select from the list?

If not then ADE won't show the buildings. If you did then can you please tell us the airport ICAO and name and then we can check. Also please look at the Scenery Complexity and make sure it is set to EXTREMELY_DENSE otherwise ssome of the buildings nay not be showing in ADE

ok i reopen the file now i see the buildings why didnt they show up on my custom file???

You will not see them in your custom file because ADE does not load stock information automatically unless you open a stock airport. There is an option to force the load of stock data in the Tools Menu (Load Stock Data)

thanks for the help i removed alot of the buildings some will not let me rmeove them

I need to look at the airport to see what buildings they are.

OK there are four special objects that version 1.20 cannot remove - if you look in the airport loaded from stock these are grey rectangles. They are special buildings that Microsoft created for this airport. At the moment if you want to remove these as well you would need to create an exclusion rectangle for library objects. ADE can't do this in version 1.20 automatically so you would need to use a tool like EXCBuilder
