• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Many weeks later...
A lot of interior and exterior progress has been made!
The exterior is nearly complete and now awaits some small model and texture updates.
The interior is getting a lot of love, with a ground-up remake of the models and textures. It is completely unrecognizable from the first image I posted in this thread.
I am still looking for systems developers, please reach out to me if interested. Some actual C-17 displays would be a huge plus for this project.

Looking good, but you may have too many fan blades? as far as I know the Pratt & Whitney F117-PW-100 has 36 stage 1 fan blades.

Hey all!
Been a while since the last update here, and we've been busy we-working the aircraft.
The cockpit has been completely replaced with a much more detailed version that is quite optimized. The same goes for the cargo bay, which is nearly indistinguishable from the one from months ago.
I'm VERY happy to say that we have a WWise project with preliminary engine sounds and a complete aural collection, which have been coded into the sim and are functional. Hopefully, I can record a video of that soon...!
Soon we'll start the slog of texturing everything and slowly finishing up the mesh for hopefully the last time.
Enjoy the shots!

Hello again,
Wanted to give everyone here an update on the state of the bird. Lots have changed, with a complete cockpit overhaul that we have just finished with, to new display development, to new sounds. The aircraft is significantly better looking and more in-depth, and we are proud to now call it the most advanced C-17 simulation on the civilian market.

We have recently begun integrating our upcoming airdrop system, with the backend now fully integrated. However, we lack any developers familiar with simconnect, which is why I have a question for you all.

Now more than ever, we are looking for developers with knowledge of simconnect to help us integrate our airdrop systems into the sim. If you are interested please reach out either here or via email, to inquiries@deltasimulations.ca . You can make a massive difference in the project, and help us realize a goal of three years. This will be a major step forward for the project, and will provide a game-changing feature to the thousands of users who fly this aircraft.
