I used SbuilderX to draw an polygon around an island and parts of the mainland (Island and mainland is very close to each other) that's all inside one QMID11 cell (actually the island is larger than one cell). When i try to create a hole in the water poly to cut out the land, SbuilderX returns an error: could not create that hole. I didn't find any tutorial on this when the island is larger than the grid cell or when it also has parts of mainland coastlines. What would be the best solution to do this? Does it need to be an QMID11 cell that needs to be reworked or can i use smaller or larger grid cells? Does the coastline polygon needs to be closed inside the borders of the hydro poly or can it be larger than the hydro poly (see the error message above, SBX could not create a hole)? Until now i had only success if the hole inside the hydropoly did not touch the hydro poly outside borders. Does the hydro poly always fill an entire grid cell? Until now the only result i could achieve was the island like i wanted it but the coastline of mainland was missing since i couldn't manage to cut it out from that hydro poly.
