• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Confused about Repeat

I have a question about how 1,2,4,6,8, and 12hr work in the Repeat option. As an example, I have created the single route flight plan below.

Both legs are within the pre-mid day time period However, when I look at the flight in AI-Companion, it only displays one occurrence of the round trip.

I had assumed that there would be two occurrences of the route, 12 hours apart. Frankly, I'm confused as to exactly what repeat does. Any clarification would be appreciated.

Perhaps you could use AIFP - Bulk Traffic - Traffic and Parking Analyzer to get Time table and further Infos?

It's interesting in that AIFP seems to not agree with itself. The Bulk Traffic -> Traffic and Parking Analyzer shows multiple instances of a plan, which I would expect.

Whereas, the Flight Plans -> Time Table shows the single instance which is what AI Companion is reflecting.

This is what confuses me. Either I am completely wrong about my understanding of Repeat and doing something wrong in building my flight plan or whatever is supposed to interpret the flight plan isn't doing so correctly.

I suppose I need to find someone who has built plans that have used the repeat option or stick with 24hr plans which are much simpler. :)

Every 12 hour plan I have created repeats every 12 hours - two flights a day. The programs showing only one flight a day are incorrect. Of course you could test this yourself in FS after compiling this flight plan just by going to KLEX at 0315 and 1515 GMT and see if the flights depart then.
 
Thanks.. I agree, just got to figure out what's incorrect about it :) Will give your suggestion a try.

Update: Again, thank you for the suggestion. It confirmed that the flight plan was working as it should and clarified some things about how AIC displays data. A valuable learning experience and time well spent.
