• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi Arno,

Im here for ask/show about two things.

1. Contact points

With latest release of MCX, when im mark for see the aircraft.cfg contact points im get this:

mcxcp.jpg

2. And when im convert some planes (like OSP ATR or TFS A300B2) from P3D V4 to FSX or from FS9 to FSX, all going very good, but when the plane under AI Traffic on FSX, make the pushback and go to walk crazy by the airport (not conect on taxiways, simply "walk" in any random direction forever)

Hi,

I have fixed a bug with cfg points having the wrong orientation a while ago, are you sure you have the latest development release?

Else I would need a file to test with.

Not sure about the second question, I know hardly anything about AI traffic.

Before importing the model, try setting the Use Conditions setting to User Specified?

Arno,

Im with latest on hand (1.4.0.0 3ca5b2a4 DEV 13/06/2018)... about second question, im use radiator for adjust and all solve.

Tgibson,

Yes, use condition setted to user specified.

Which aircraft shows this so I can test it? Do you have a download link?

Yes, several aircraft I've tried have been exported in FSX format with very large radii. Raditor is the cure.

OK, thanks, I'll test with this aircraft.

I haven't had the time yet to debug this, will try to do it soon.

Hi,

Sorry, forgot to check this issue (again). Will try to do it this week if I don't forget it again.

If you need another test subject, the DC-6A used in the previous FS2004 to FSX conversion thread also has this problem.

Hi,

I have just loaded the model here and I don't see the CFG points being rotated or so.

Some are behind the aircraft, but if I check the CFG file they are defined like that.

strange - I've got that "rotated" ones.

is there any way to make a clean install of ModelConverterX - removing all individual settigs (I suspect I screwed them up at some point...)

up to now I just "replaced" the files by overwriting - but it looks that some settings are stored outsede the main applications folder

The settings are stored in your user data. I can look up the exact location when I'm behind my pc.

If you install MCX in a new folder with a different name you will get the default settings.

Would still be interesting to know which setting caused it, but glad to hear it helped.

I took a quick look - but could not fing a suspicious entry - the older one has a lot more entries, anything you suggest looking at?
