Seems to me the immersive texture slider on the menu is a yes no option either white or black. The node can set a ratio but it is finicky. I used it to set the light a slight tinge. I will upload my née image when I get home. I have sorted out the intensity issue and with the glass objects (window panes) above the texture it is muted quite abbot but is more believeable than just a yellow light! The emmissivee texture is a white black and grey scale of the daylight texture.Thank you for the detailed explanation, it is working nowDo you know the exact interaction between the "emissive_tint" value and the emissive color in the material properties? Somehow I need to touch both at least once to get it working. Furthermore, only by setting the emissive color I'm able to control the color shade of the effect.
Regarding your examples, I would say the right window looks best. Maybe the emissive effect could be a little bit more intense. The thing with lights is that they don't glow themselves but just lighten up other surfaces. So they need to be combined with an emissive surface to create a descent effect.
I can confirm that my glass surface has a very similar looking reflection. I've no idea what this is supposed to be and whether this can be modified.
