• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hello,

if I want to add a texture to object which is offset to the axis I get the problem that the texture offset as well. Is there a way to avoid that?

Here is a pic for a better understanding where my problem is:

Thanks,

Can you right click the screen in SU and choose Texture/Position in the pop up menu? Then drag the image around until it is lined up the way you want.

Hope this helps,

Drawing taxi line in sketchup

Hello!

What is the best way to draw taxi lines, especially the curves in sketchup?

Thanks,
Holger

Hi,

I would draw a line for the correct path and then use the Follow me tool to make the geometry along that line. It's like the loft in GMax.

Thanks Arno!

How do you practise this in detail? I´ve searched for a tutorial but couldn´t find one. Just to draw a path-line isn´t enough I think. I must build a 3d object to use the follow me option, do I?

I already did a few test. I drew the path-lines I needed but I wasn´t able to follow them at all.:-(

Here is what I want to do:

A three part fragmented Line. I there a pssibility to follow all three lines at one time? If I start with the outerline I have a lot of problems to follow with the middle line there after. Probably I do it completely wrong that way and there is a more easier way!?

And here the whole apron.

Try selecting all the lines at once (Either using the 'Ctrl' or 'Shift' buttons to select more)
