• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FS2004 CYQR Regina

What I meant to say is I will not be including the new development in the scenery. I'll leave that for a future update. Sorry for the confusion. I should have proof read my reply before posting!

Cheers

All Right! Sounds great... hope your Progress on the scenery goes well... any updates since then?
Any possible release Dates now?

Hi there Airbasil Thanks for your interest. I'm making slow but steady progress. I am still working on filling-in all the prominent buildings around the airport and on the approaches. Since this is my home airport they are very low poly models of the real thing. I've done about 70 models so far and I think I'm getting close to finishing-up this part of the project. Call me crazy but to me it adds to the immersion. I won't give you a release date but the finish line is in sight! Here are a few screen shots to show you a sampling of what I've been working on.

Thanks again for all the kind comments. I hope the scenery lives up to expectations! For those who were wondering when the project will be finished, I'd like to wrap up it up before the end of the summer. That is the goal anyway.

Greg

YEAH!!!! I am so excited. I have waited so long for this. Greg an amazing accomplishment!

Thanks you Greg for all your words of encouragement in my own development projects!

Sean

I actually use FSX and don't own FS2004, but I had to download this scenery to try it out, as the modelling looks amazing. Nice work.

Cheers,

Scott

Hi Greg,
I really appreciate your immense Work on this scenery. I really like that scenery.

Thanks again for letting me beta-testing. all the stuff... and i congratulate you on the release. I am really happy with what you achieved to create on this scenery.
It's probably the best scenery you've ever created for Saskatchewan Area.

Btw. I now installes UT Canada/Alaska. And I've still tested it again with sophisticated Aircraft like the PMDG MD-11 which is a relativly complex aircraft.
Some Issues with UT Canada/Alaska do now happen which are causing the Freezing Effect, you encountered as well... and also a Little loss of Frames. But that's quite normal and has nothing to do with your Scenery. Because that's actually due to UT Canada / Alaska by Flight1 Software.

Even though, I wanted to thank you again for your great and durable work you did. It's just estonnishing. And I am so happy to have your Scenery fully working as it should.

Thank you so much! Hopefully your next Project is on a great way already. Maybe you could create Saskatoon as well... sometimes :-)

Kind Regards

Basil Münger

Thanks guys, and special thanks to Basil for test flying the scenery for me. Sean, I'm glad I could be of some help. By the way, the scenery is also available on Flightsim.com now, just in case that is somebody's preferred source for FS addons. As for Saskatoon, well, that would be another huge project for me. This airport took me about two years to complete and CYXE is about a third bigger in size. I won't say never but not now for sure. I am going to take a break and perhaps do a few small airports over the winter.

Cheers,
Greg

Downloaded it and flew around. Gotta say, amazing work! Beautifully done! I do have one issue, and I don't know if it is my setup or not. I have ground texture flashing when on the ground, or close to it. Like I said, I don't know if it is on my end or not, so I am not saying it is a bug just yet...

Thanks but I am sorry you are having a texture flashing problem. I've got a lot of feedback so far and this is the first report of flashing textures. Not sure what to say.

Gotta test this on my Sim... but haven't encountered this untill now... I'll Report that in an instant by editing this reply, if there's the same issue at my Sim.
Hang on a Minute!

Edit:

I couldn't reproduce any ground or poly flickering in my Sim. Wheter with complex aircraft nor with or without UT Canada/Alaska. It all works just fine...
so, that definitely should be an Issue of "Nater" and his System where FS9 runs on.

Greg, thank you for releasing your fantastic scenery during holiday seasons. :)

The fact, that you did your homeairport Regina for FS2004 is for me like celebrating christmas :santahat: and birthday the same day. I will enjoy your work for a very long time and will come visiting you often - virtually... ;)
