• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Dovetail Flight School

What the heck!!!?

http://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/content.php?16658-Taburet-Europe-Vector-Scenery-for-DTG-Flight-School

This is an add-on for the Dovetail Games Flight School software. You must have the DTG Flight School installed in order to use this software. This version is NOT compatible with FSX or Prepar3D. You can get the FSX version here.

A complete rebuild of DTG Flight School Vector scenery for the European Continent. This scenery will replace:

  • Shoreline
  • Rivers
  • Lakes
  • Roads
  • Traffic
  • Streams
  • Railways

Does it mean there is the whole world but you need to purchase the detail for the rest of the world?

The whole FSX/Orbx vector world is within Flight School.

Ray Taburet has figured out how to add greater detail to this world and is marketing it. Why not if he can pick up some cash? But most developers will wait for Flight Simulator (and it's SDK) to develop addons.

You can add vector scenery to MS Flight as well, and the whole world is now available for it, but that process is somewhat complicated.

Hey Chris, I meant Flight, not FSX.

I thought it was freeware, then it was discontinued. Just wondered if its actually still available.

Update: OMG DTG is going to be trounced for this.

People reporting unable to start the game, crashes, unplayable framerates.......

I can't play it either, its a slideshow.

Ouch, Ouch, Ouch! I feel for Dovetail. This is going to hurt.

Works fine for me other than missing functions on the G1000 and the brakes don't work correctly. You can easily run past the end of the runway.

Hi everyone, we are currently seeing a few reports from players stating that they are having framerate drops with the DA42. Clearly that is not what should be happening, and we are keen to get to the bottom of this situation as quickly as possible. What we need to do first is establish if there is any pattern to these reports.

Therefore if you are experience this issue please contact our support team via our website -http://dovetailgames.kayako.com/

Sending us your system specs, a screenshot of your in games graphics settings and details of any controllers you are using would be a big help.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. We are currently investigating this as a top priority.

On my Asus ROG laptop i7-4700HQ 2.4 GHz Nvidia 765M (1600x900) I get 35-40 fps at CYXU with the DA-42 - a bit of tearing if I pan quickly. Get 40-45 fps with the piper. Not the greatest but for 10 bucks it works.

Oh and shift-Z for fps display

Low framerates and barely working systems? Someone seems to have forgotten some flood control somewhere in the gauge or systems code.
