• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Duplicate buildings

When using scenproc to design autogen, I get 3 buildings in the exact same spot most of the time. Here is the code I am using:

IMPORTSHP|c:\myscenery\scenery.shp|*|NOREPROJ
#
SPLITGRID|AGN
#
SETAGNBUILDINGHEIGHT|*|1.0;0.2;0.0;0.0
CREATEAGNGENBUILD|FTYPE=POLYGON;FLENGTH>8;FWIDTH<20|{5ae04eb6-934c-4f63-bb48-5e7dee601212}|MAXRATIO=2
CREATEAGNGENBUILD|FTYPE=POLYGON;FLENGTH>10;FWIDTH>20|{6089A0BD-CED1-4c47-9A9E-64CDD0E16983}
#
WRITEAGNFILES|FSX|C:\myscenery\texture

Does anyone have any ideas why this can be?
Would it be possible to design a filter that would check for multiple buildings in the same spot?

Did you check your data in a gis tool to see if it doesn't contain the duplicate buildings?

Your configuration file looks fine, it will not process the same feature multiple times.

You also don't have to worry about default autogen. It's automatically replaced when you put the new agn files in. No exclude is needed.

Ah yes, the vector data contained multiple polygons in the same spot which is what caused the problem.

What happened was that I converted a raster image to a DXF, then shapefile, and for some reason the DXF output came out weird with many polygons overlapping each other.

I used a different raster to vector conversion which solved the problem.
