• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS20 EHEH - Eindhoven Airport

So this image you showed here is 4K?
no, SKP can only create 2K texture out of a bigger image by default, so what I'm doing is taking the res of the imagery and divide it by 2048 and slice the image, you can see in the preview of the ground poly the ground imagery and how I sliced it (dashed lines)

Felix is live on YouTube and showing how he builds the airport:

thank you !!!
still working on this building, will be streaming today too

I didn’t realize you use Sketchup, and I didn’t know you could do such nice buildings with it. How does the export process work, I’ve only heard of the Blender and 3DS exporters before.

I've been using SKP since my studies more then 10 years ago, somehow in my filed SKP has lot of advantages over the 3D programs (in short it an engineering sketch program so you can work there accurately)
and also disadvantages is the texturing and this is why I'm also work with blender for material definition ,animations and effects

Available the EHEH to purchase on it now?
Pat

From what I can see, far from it. There's still lots of work to be done. All the big things such as buildings and the ground poly have been done, but there are many small things still left to be done. Lights, trees, bushes, fences, clutter, etc. Things which bring the scenery to life.

Don't get me wrong, I'm eagerly waiting for this scenery as well and will certainly buy it once it's ready. But that's not the case yet.

you are right, building a scenery is a long process, I prefer to do an accurate replication compare to an inaccurate work but quicker workflow.
at this time all the things start getting together and I hope that soon this scenery will start forming inside the simulator
Felix is Live again right now on YouTube. Come and watch his stream and check out his channel for more videos on content creation for MSFS. Dont forget to subscribe and leave a like

thank you :)

Incredible masterpiece! I dream to have your EHEH Artwork in MSFS sim and watching out for the release and grab it.
Congrats Felix!!!

Usually I've been updating every month about the progress of our project but this time it took me two month to publish this update, and that because I wanted to show more progress that I done on the terminal, it very complex and I try to detailed as accurate as possible and after one month I didn't have enough finished materials to show you, but today I can show you with much more confidence the progress, most of the terminal main spaced been molded, still have some more space to model and then to do small fixes and to detailed little more (signs, air duct and ceiling light)
the preview you see here are not from the simulator, but it also give me a nice opportunity to test the normal maps of some of the textures
If you ask me I think the terminal is 70% done and within one - one and a half month it will be done and I will start working on the landscape, the last piece of my modeling list before I will start bringing all the models into the simulator
So happy holiday and happy new year

Really nice! Are you targeting MSFS 2024, and trying to split all the details like interior objects into their own scenery objects with their own LODs?
well, I noticed that developers are splinting there objects to smaller parts, I will split the model into segments like ext, int, glass, signs, screens, furniture, but I had to do it manually, I wonder if there is an automated option to do this?

This is looking amazing!
Will miss the livestreams, it is great to learn from you.
thanks, and the streams are back
Holy Artwork! When can I grab it?
Happy New Year 2025.

still have to finish the terminal and after that I had to do the landscape and the walk-in-gate roofing to start working on the first version of the scenery, still have some other building that I need to model but the big one are done so hopfuly it will be muck quicker

Just a question, I don't see the terminal extension with stairs for gates 11 and 12 anywhere in your scenery. These two gates are upstairs and lead to stairs to the platform. Are you planning to include that?

It's difficult finding pictures of it, this is probably the best I could find:

It's located in the middle between the two Transavia planes, there you see what kind of looks like a jet bridge coming out of the terminal. But there is no actual jet bridge attached, it's just stairs (and an elevator) which lead you to the platform. I've boarded from those gates at multiple occasions.

Also, in front of the second Transavia plane there is a bridge for arriving passengers, it passes over the departure lanes for the various gates and leads the arriving passengers to the terminal. I can't remember having seen that modeled either. Will it be included?

The terminal interior screenshots look awesome by the way, really good. I'm looking forward to seeing more of that such as the upstairs area with gates 11 and 12 and the Starbucks opposite them.
