FSXA export scenery

Hi,

No, photo scenery is made with resample, not with bglcomp. It is a different type of BGL.

I just tested the bglcomp you attached and it works fine here. So as the error indicates it must be something with the MSXML installation on your machine.

i was afraid of that. :( I did install the msxml4 you linked bu tno improvement. There was a cab file also, but I don't know where to put that. Bob

Instant scenery 2 is still working. I assume when it .... ah- it is changing a mdl into bgl.... not xml into bgl. That is why IT still works?

Hi,

I think instant scenery does not use bglcomp to write the bgl files, it also works for people who don't have the sdk.

I ran out of ideas. You already uninstalled the old msxml before installing it again?

That is correct IS2 does not use bglcomp either. Otherwise I would really be up the creek! :)

Yes. first tried to install msxml but didn't work. figured out I had to dump the old one then install the new. Then it installed. Still same problem.

Just thought posting here might get the attention of some who might know.

Unless this cab file has something to do with it. I wonder.

Friend of mine compared his with mine.

We went to c:\windows\sys32\ scrolled down to find some dlls. he has msxml3.dll msxml3r.dll the same with the number 6... no #4... just like mine but his works. wonder if vbscript has anything to do with this? Years ago I somehow had two copies of vbscript which caused me not to use some small item. Just a stab in the dark for now. :) Bob

As far as I know bglcomp uses the version 4, but let me double check that. There are indeed also version of msxml available.

What is weird is that it worked before, so there must be some software or update that you installed since then that changed something.
