• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

FS2004 Faulty ILS for VHHH

Hi, has anyone ever noticed both ILS 25L and 25R at VHHH are not straight on the runways even with stock airport. How do you fix it?
Is it only their heading or is there more things to modify?
 
Have you tried using AFCAD to generate a new airport with your required bearings?
For the stock airfield that may be all that is necessary ... for third-party scenery there may be more to it.
 
If you search the net, many people say that some of the ILS approaches there are offset in real life. I do not have confirmation of that, however.
 
The VHHH ILSs are ligned up with the rwy axes. Now, I don't think the FS2004 stock data are still correct since the airport was recently reorganized. In particular, Rwy07L/25R is now 07C/25C. A new runway 07L has been added and all ILS have changed. As suggested you should try using AFCAD to generate a new airport. If all you want to do is align existing ILSs (whose identifiers and frequencies are out of date) you may use my AIE editor
 
I've been using an AFCAD for it but also without it had the same heading or positions so what I did just to try I adjusted the heading by like 0.5 less or more depending what's needed and it helped a little now at least it's centered on final by the looks of it after a quick test but it's just weird that even with the stock one the directions were not leveled in center. Before you landed a bit to the left and like sideways on approach.
 
I have used Ray Smiths VHHH available on all the major platforms without issue. I have rebuilt the field myself though adding the third runway. All my ILS work as they should.
