I'm sorry if this has been posted already or if I'm just a victim of my own ignorance but I can't seem to find a solution to my issue.
I'm wanting to convert a plane to a static prop but when I use the "Fix Animation" after selecting the animations I want removed, the rest of the model flies apart, for lack of a better description.
Here's a before shot...
Fixing example animations... (not adjusting for a specific time as this is just "for example")
After... wow - nice landing gear! LOL!
This isn't even the worst result I get. Sometimes, I've had ailerons, spoilers, cargo doors, etc. scattered all over the screen.
What the heck am I doing incorrectly? I would export to .3ds for manipulations in 3ds max, but the export doesn't seem to keep animations for that particular format. Again, apologies if I've stupidly forgotten to adjust a simple parameter or other such nonsense. A pointer in the right direction would be incredibly appreciated, and google has not been my friend on this one...

**EDIT**
Way better example of "Something going wrong"
