• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FS Developers Association

Regarding Sat, Oct 7th, 2006:

I can make it after 2200GMT (that's 01:00 local Athens time, after midnight, going into Sunday).

Would that not be 24:00 CEST (as we are still in summertime now)? But something like that would be OK for me as well.

Very interesting link José ! And Hans, GMT-UTC-Zulu time... all the same thing !

Anyway, when do we get started with this thing, and more importantly HOW do we get started ?

Björn

No Björn, GMT differs from UTC/Zulu during daylight saving time periods in Britain. That's the trap I ran into. So let's forget about GMT and use UTC.

Like Lefteris suggested, Teamspeak would be fine. Perhaps Arno or Nick can setup a TS server here on fsdeveloper.com.

GMT == UTC == Zulu (at least within miliseconds)

Local time in Greenwich is GMT in the winter, and BST (British Summer Time) in the summer.

GMT never changes, as Lars says we are currently on BST here in the UK which is GMT+1

Not sure about that. I don't think I can run such software on the webhost (we don't have a full server :)). So the option would be to run it from a PC here at home, but I am not sure if my connection is fast enough for that.

I can have a TeamSpeak server running on Saturday at

ops.precisionmanuals.com

Should be open for anyone to connect, but I prefer if you "registered" your data with the server so we know who's who.

One thing I'd request, though, is that Arno or Nick run a recording session and then present us with the meeting minutes, so we can establish a history of what was discussed...

Thanks all!

OK, I'll make sure that either Nick or me does that.

Hey if I can help let me know. I've already successfully create a cert for BAC, so I know how to do it.

Did this meeting already happen?

Hello!

Hello!

I just signed in: may I attend this Association, even if I do not strictly do freeware?

Thank you,

Maurizio

Hi Maurizio,

I just signed in: may I attend this Association, even if I do not strictly do freeware?

Input is always welcome I would say. In future discussions we should see how we deal with the freeware <-> payware things.

Although it is of course easier for payware designers to buy a certificate for their products :).

Sorry, I was not clear enough: of course, I will get my own certificate, for brand visibility if nothing else (thinking how much I pay yearly for, say, MSDN, the cost of a certificate is negligeable!).

But, independently and beyond the current certificate issue, is this association / group / lobby ;) only for developers doing (also) freeware or greedy rascals only doing payware like me are accepted too?

Ciao,

Maurizio
