• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

It might not be my place, but what is this user rankings thing with the green circles, for example, I have one?

(Well, that was quite an awkward sentence :o)

So...yeah. And what does the rank depend on?

Thought i'd shove it here since I don't know where else to stuff this question.

From 1 post is one dot,
From 25 posts is two dots,
From 100 posts is three dots,
From 250 posts is four dots,
From 500 posts is five dots,
From 1000 posts is six dots.

alright, I seem to be quite close to the next level.

Thank you all for the help, now how does one close a thread?

We normally don't close threads here. We only do that if we want to prevent people from continuing the discussion, but that is hardly ever never.

Then this would be a great post to post to to increase one's post count post posting would it not?:rotfl:

Unhappily it's been necessary recently, but let's hope it's the last for a long while. (four dots coming up soon...!)

Well I guess we can only remind folks that we have zero tolerance for inappropriate activities. Having said that, as Arno points out it, it is fortunately rare that we need to take action :)

Ahm, I am not so sure whether I should be happy to have six of those green circles underneath my name or not :( !

Of course, that's a good sign of experience. You have now made enough mistakes to be an expert :D.

And now you're almost like the admins. You should be proud of that, I have another thousand or so to go :rotfl:

Precisely! "Experience" after all only allows one to be completely wrong, with confidence! :D
